- Description
- The Department of Veterans Affairs, Network Contracting Office 15 intends to award a sole source contract under the authority of 41 U.S.C 253(c) (1) FAR 6.302-Unusual and Compelling Urgency, to Air Systems, LLC. Contractor shall furnish all labor, transportation, and expertise necessary to provide Chiller Repairs to include: Locking off the power supply to the chiller and run the chilled and condenser water pumps. Install the recovery equipment and reclaim 1600 lbs of refrigerant from the chiller Store the refrigerant in the recovery tanks and storage barrels Pressurize the chiller with nitrogen and remove the oil charge for disposal Disconnect the oil heater and the oil pump wiring and conduit Remove the oil lines from the oil sump head assembly Remove the mounting bolts and the oil sump head assembly Remove the original oil sump well and install the replacement with new gasket Clean the oil sump heater int eh well and wire the heater and oil pump Connect the oil supply piping to the oil sump head Replace the oil filter Pressurize the system with nitrogen and leak check Pull a vacuum on the chiller and confirm the chiller is leak free Add new Trane oil 22 to the chiller oil sump Charge the unit with reclaimed refrigerant and power up the chiller Start the chiller and adjust the oil regulator to the proper chiller oil pressure Confirm the proper operation of the oil sump heater Change the oil sump heater in chiller #7 Rebuild Chiller #3 Inlet Guide Vanes Complete rebuilding of inlet guide vane during the chiller #3 repairs Set up gantry over chiller #3 and cut away insulation on suction elbow flanges Remove bolts from suction elbow and set up rigging on suction elbow Remove suction elbow and mark position of inlet guide vane Remove inlet guide vane tang assembly and rig inlet vanes for removal Remove inlet guide assembly, mark position and disassemble Replace the bearing assembly on each inlet guide vane Complete assemble of the inlet guide vanes and install in suction cover Rebuild 1st stage tang arm assembly with new bearings and O-rings Clean suction elbow flanges and install suction elbow with new O-rings Install 1st stage tang assembly and guide vane linkage Have insulator complete insulation on suction elbow Complete chiller start up including in above tasking.
