- The United States Department of Agriculture (USDA), Agricultural Marketing Service (AMS), Federal Grain Inspection Service (FGIS) Technical Services Division located in Kansas City, MO intends to issue a sole source 5-year contract to the Chemical Abstracts Service (CAS) located in Columbus, OH for annual access to the SciFinder® Enterprise database under the authority of FAR 13.106-1(b)(1). The SciFinder® Enterprise database is used to support FGIS research and FGIS methods development. The CAS holds the copyright and has all the rights to the Chemical Abstracts. No other known service has an up-to-date access to Chemical Abstract information. A 5-year contract NTE $32,400.00 (consisting of a Base Year with 4 Option Years) is anticipated with CAS. NOTE: THIS NOTICE WAS NOT POSTED TO FEDBIZOPPS ON THE DATE INDICATED IN THE NOTICE ITSELF (11-JUL-2019); HOWEVER, IT DID APPEAR IN THE FEDBIZOPPS FTP FEED ON THIS DATE.
