- Page 2 of 2 INTENT TO SOLE SOURCE The Department of Veterans Affairs (VA), Network Contracting Office 2 (NCO 2) intends to award a sole source contract under the authority of 41 U.S.C 253(c) (1) FAR 6.302-1 - Only One Responsible Source and No Other Supplies or Services Will Satisfy Agency Requirements. COSMED USA, INC. 1850 Bates Ave. Concord, CA 94520-1240 will furnish all necessary labor, parts, repair, recalibration, shipping, and performance testing of the COSMED Quark equipment. Manufacturer Equipment/Models COSMED COSMED COSMED COSMED COSMED Quark (QPFT) Quark (Q-BOX) Quark (CPET) Quark (i2M) K4b2 (CPET) The place of performance is for the Department of Veterans Affairs New Jersey Health Care System at East Orange campus. The NAICS code for these items is 811219 (Other Electronic and Precision Equipment Repair and Maintenance). This action will result in a Firm-Fixed Price contract with a base year plus four (4) option years. This notice of intent is not a request for quotations; interested parties may express their interest by providing a capabilities statement NLT June 21, 2019 at 12:00 PM EST. The capabilities statement must provide clear and unambiguous evidence to substantiate the capability of the party to provide the required services. A determination not to compete this proposed contract upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Verbal responses are not acceptable and will not be considered. When responding to this announcement, respondents should refer to Announcement 36C24219Q0803 Notice of Intent. If after June 21, 2019, no viable responses have been received in response to this announcement, Department of Veterans Affairs shall negotiate solely with Getinge USA. This notice of intent to award a sole source contract is not a request for competitive quotes. There will be no solicitation available for competitive quotes. Phone calls will not be accepted.
