- This is a SOURCES SOUGHT request for informational and planning purposes only and shall not be construed as a solicitation or as an obligation or commitment by the Government at this time. This notice is intended strictly for market research. The purpose of this Sources Sought notice is to determine the following: The interest and capability of Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business (SDVOSB) able to meet the requirements listed below; Size classification relative to the North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code 339112 Surgical and Medical Instrument Manufacturing for the proposed acquisition. The Department of Veterans Affairs, Network Contracting Office 10 is seeking SDVOSB sources to provide a quantity of two (2) Electric Hi-Lo Bariatric Stand-In Tables for the Battle Creek VA Medical Center located at 5500 Armstrong Road, Battle Creek, Michigan 49037. Stand-In Tables shall be Hausmann Model 6185 or equal with the following characteristics: Motorized height adjustment of top from 42 ½ to 52 ½ (approximate) Able to power lift 500 lb. patient from sitting to standing position Hand control adjusts height and lift Raised rim laminate top 39 ½ W x 24 D with 26 W x 11 D cutout (approximate) Padded knee, chest, and back supports Includes bariatric and standard size patient lift harnesses Retractable, swiveling casters with brake handle 115V, 60Hz, 5.3 Amps Assembled with UL-recognized components Tables to be delivered FOB Destination to the Battle Creek VA Medical Center. Any contractor that believes they are capable and desires to claim preference for small business status must be registered with the SBA and meet the requirements of FAR 19.102. Any contractor that believes they are capable and desires to claim preference for service-disabled veteran-owned small business status must be registered with the Vendor Information Pages (VIP) at https://www.vip.vetbiz.va.gov as an SDVOSB.
