- Description
- The National Park Service, Alaska Regional Office, intends to issue a sole source award to the Woods Hole Group for data download services from currently deployed GPS telemetry collars. The resultant award is anticipated to be a firm fixed price award with four option years or Blanket Purchase Agreement. More than one award may be made. ARGOS satellite equipment used to track the deployed GPS-satellite telemetry collars is privately owned and Woods Hole Group, Inc is the sole authorized data distributer for ARGOS. Woods Hole Group, Inc. is the only vendor that can supply the requested ARGOS data. There are no other known vendors that have the ability or authority to supply the requested data. The system is proprietary and Wood Hole Group, Inc/ARGOS does not allow other entities to utilize its capabilities. Further, data continuity is essential for maintaining the scientific integrity of these long-term monitoring programs. This will be a commercial acquisition using simplified acquisition procedures per FAR 13. The intended procurement will be classified under North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) 518210 with a Small Business Size Standard of $32.5 million. This is not a request for competitive quotes, but serves as a procurement notice to fulfill public posting requirements in accordance with FAR 5.101(a)(2). No solicitation document is available and telephone requests will not be honored. No contract award will be made on the basis of proposals, or quotations received in response to this notice; however any firm that believes they have capabilities to provide this service item may give written notification to the Contracting Officer at darcy_skinner@nps.gov. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. A determination not to compete this proposed order based on responses to this notice is solely at the discretion of the Government.
