Description
This sources sought, in accordance with FAR Part 10, is to conduct market research on industry capability to upgrade theater lighting for the Department of Interior, National Park Service, at Chamizal National Memorial. This is a Sources Sought ONLY. The synopsis is for information and planning purposes only and is not to be construed as a commitment by the Government nor will the Government pay for information solicited; no basis for claim against the Government shall arise as a result from a response to this Sources Sought or Government use of any information provided other then market research. The Government reserves the right to consider a small business, 8(a), or any other set aside arrangement as deemed appropriate based on the responses for this notice. If you are interested, please submit your detailed capabilities in WRITING to demonstrate same or similar experience. This is not a request for proposal or invitation to bid. No proposal package, solicitation, specification or drawings are available with this announcement. Response to this announcement is strictly voluntary; no reimbursement will be made for any costs associated with providing information in response to this sources sought announcement or any follow-up information requests. The Government anticipates conducting a negotiated, competitive acquisition for this requirement. The amount of interest or lack thereof will determine the possibility of a competitive set-aside or full and open competition. Misrepresentation of size status can result in penalties (the size of a small business firm includes all parents, subsidiaries, affiliates, etc.-see 13 CFR 121.108). Please refer to current SBA guidance and Title 13 Part 126 Subpart B of the Code of Federal Regulations (CFR) regarding HUBZone firms. All firms should be registered and certified in www.SAM.gov. Analysis of the quality of responses to this sources sought announcement will be considered in the market research being conducted, and in the making of any small business set-aside determination for this requirement. NAICS Code: 238210, Electrical Contractors and Other Wiring Installation Contractors PSC Code: Z2QA, Repair or Alteration of Restoration of real property (public or private) Estimated Cost Range: $500,000 - $1 Million Estimated Period of Performance: 90 days Project Description: Upgrade Theater Lighting. Project will replace the theater lighting system, converting to Light-Emitting Diode (LED) capabilities, replace light dimmer racks, lighting control console, relay panel, monitor screens, and circuits, as well as replace stair edges and walkway lighting and repair the cable grid accessing light fixtures. Project Location: This project is located at the Chamizal National Memorial Theater in El Paso, Texas. The Work consists of the following: 1. Mobilization/Demobilization. 2. Demolition of the existing dimmer racks and removal of existing fixtures. 3. Inspection, testing and repair of existing sockets, wiring and conduit to be reused for new fixtures. 4. Procurement and installation of nine (9) new lighting relay panels, dimmer rack, and remote preset control stations. 5. Procurement and installation of two hundred thirty eight (238) LED lighting fixtures. 6. Procurement and installation of power, control, and networking cable required for lighting fixtures, relay panels, and remote control stations. 7. Selection of new lighting groups for new control system using repaired and tested sockets, wiring and conduit. 8. Commissioning of new lighting system. 9. Training on use and maintenance of new lighting system. Project will be constructed under a single prime contract. The Government anticipates award of one (1) firm-fixed price construction contract.
