- Description
- The U.S. Army Combat Capabilities Development Command (CCDC), Ground Vehicle Systems Center (GVSC), located at Detroit Arsenal, would like to invite interested National Advanced Mobility Consortium (NAMC) members to participate in the Ground Vehicle Materials Flash-to-Bang (GVM F2B) Pitch Day to be held June 12-13, 2019 (event details are forthcoming). The purpose of the GVM F2B Pitch Day is to deliver a faster, smarter approach to compete for ideas in the accelerating technology ecosystem. Proposal submissions will be open to materials science/engineering-related ideas that may significantly lighten or considerably improve Army ground systems or ground support systems. Examples of technology areas of interest include a) advanced materials, b) lightweight design and optimization, c) additive manufacturing, d) joining, and e) coatings/corrosion prevention, as well as the tools/processes that support these competencies. All interested NAMC members will be required to submit a short summary of their technology. The Government will review all responses and the most promising candidates will be required to submit a brief proposal and will be invited to pitch their ideas live to a team of Army subject matter experts for an opportunity to compete for individual project agreement awards starting at $127,000 with potential additional options of A) $63,500 or B) $254,000.
