- The National Institutes of Health (NIH) intends to negotiate a contract on a sole source basis with Heidelberg Engineering, Franklin, MA. The purpose of the contract is for the upgrade of Optical Coherence Tomography Angiography (OCTA) to two (2) units of existing Spectralis HRA+OCT instrument. The OCTA Module is a non-invasive imaging technology that provides a three-dimensional depiction of retinal vascular flow with versatility in field of view, scan speed, and image resolution. Heidelberg Engineering is the manufacturer of the Spectralis HRA+OCT system.
