**UPDATE March 06, 2019** -- **THE RFQ IS HEREBY CANCELLED** THIS POSTING IS BEST VIEWED AT: HTTPS://FAACO.FAA.GOV KEYWORD(s): Honeywell IRU The FAA has a Brand Name Mandatory requirement to acquire three (3) Honeywell-Bendix/King Special Missions LASEREF V Inertial Reference Units (IRU), P/N: HG2195AB04. The FAA contemplates competing a firm fixed priced brand name mandatory purchase order among qualified Honeywell/Bendix King dealers who can show they hold required certifications to provide this equipment for the Challenger 604 Flight Inspection Aircraft. These units are used in both the front end of the aircraft for navigation and in the back for Flight Inspections systems. For this acquisition, approved parts are identified as parts that have been produced during the Type Certificate (TC) application process under CFR 14, Part 21, Subpart B, or Supplemental Type Certificate (STC) application process under Part 21, Subpart E, prior to the issuance of the certificate; subsequently determined to conform to the approved TC or STC data. These parts are the only approved parts that can be installed for use on the FAA Challenger 604 Flight Inspection Aircraft. Vendors who intend to respond to this RFQ will be required to show capability they can provide these specific IRUs. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code and size standard for this effort: NAICS: 334511 Search, Detection, Navigation, Guidance, Aeronautical, and Nautical System and Instrument Manufacturing The FAA is seeking responsive and responsible quotes at this time. The FAA will not pay for any information received or costs incurred in preparing a quote response to this market survey. Therefore any cost associated with a quote submission is solely at the interested vendor s expense. The Contractor must furnish all labor, tools, parts, software/hardware/firmware, expendable and consumable items, and other technical and administrative support as necessary to meet the technical requirement for these IRU s. In order to meet the capability requirement the FAA requires the following to be submitted with the vendor s quote: Capability Requirement(s) - Capability Statement and verifiable documentation that clearly proves the vendor holds the proper certifications and proper permissions to provide the Honeywell Laseref V IRU/PN; HG2195AB04 equipment for the Challenger 604 Flight Inspection Aircraft. Basis for award will be to the vendor who meets the capability requirement(s) and submits the completed RFQ document (attached) at the lowest overall price. All responses to this Request for Quote must be received by 4:00 p.m. Central (Oklahoma) Time, Friday, March 22, 2019.
