- Manufacturer & Delivery of High Voltage 115kV Disconnect Switch for Folsom Switchyard (CCAO) The US Bureau of Reclamation (USBR), Mid-Pacific Region, intends to award a firm-price price purchase order on a sole source basis to Southern States, LLC. for the purchase of a disconnect switch with motor operator and AVS-10 10 pole under the authority of FAR 13.106-1(b)(1)(i). Southern States, LLC (SS) is the manufacturer and sole distributor of the required specialized disconnect switch with parts and holds the manufacturing rights of the switch. USBR currently has multiple 115kV disconnects and similar vintage switches at the Folsom substation which they have been utilizing for many years. SS is the only company that produces the disconnect switch that will fit exactly on existing USBR owned structure without modification. Improper parts and/ or installation can potentially cause breakdowns and possible destruction of electrical equipment. The awarded contract will consist of the following: Disconnect Switch Catalog No.: EV-2-123-2000 1. 123 kV maximum rated voltage 2. 2000 ampere continuous current rating 3. 63 kA short-time 4. 164 kA peak withstand 5. 550 kV BIL 6. Aluminum live parts 7. 3-phase vertical break disconnect switch for horizontal mounting 8. manual or mov operated Live parts shipped assembled on TR-286 9. 5" B.C. Porcelain insulators 10. Type VM-1-104 Motor Operator 11. AVS-10 10 pole auxiliary switch and mounting accessories 12. air breaker switch 13. arcing horns to protect the jaw contacts 14. three, four hold terminal pads on each end of switch 15. stainless steel yoke pivots 16. pivot seats are tinned bronze 17. rotating insulator bearing 18. Height from bottom of top bracket - insulators - 58" to 60" 19. Height from bottom of top bracket - top of arm in open position - 135" to 137" 20. Distance between insulators - 60" and 21" Firms believing they can provide the items listed above must provide written notice to the Contract Specialist and will provide evidence in sufficient detail to demonstrate the respondent ™s ability to meet the stated requirements. This notice is not a request for competitive proposals. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed action based on responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. Responses shall be emailed to the Government point of contact listed below by Friday, March 15, 2019 at 1:00 p.m. PST. Responses shall include the firm ™s Dun and Bradstreet number and Tax Identification Number. Firms shall identify their business size (small, other than small, etc.) in accordance with the size standard for NAICS code 335313 with a size standard of 1,250 employees.
