Description
This is a sources sought. The Department of Veterans Affairs is looking for firms that are classified under one or more of the following SBA programs: Small Business, 8(a), HUBZone, SDB, WOSB, SDVOSB, and/or VOSB. In order to receive consideration as an SDVOSB or VOSB concern your firm shall be register as such at https://www.vip.vetbiz.va.gov/, and shall include with its response to this request a copy of the appropriate CVE verification. All firms shall be a General Construction Firm with an approved NAICS Code 236220, Small Business Size Standard of $36.5 million. Work is to be performed at the Jefferson Barracks Division Campus of the St Louis VA Medical Center located at 1 Jefferson Barracks Drive, St. Louis, Missouri 63125. The contract scope includes, but is not limited to abatement and removal and disposal of asbestos or other hazardous materials; demolition and removal of existing Buildings 4, 4T, 5, 7, 8, 48 and 49 and site improvements and features above and below ground; abandonment, removal and relocation of existing underground utilities; installation of new underground utilities, infrastructure, roadways, parking and pavement; earth and site work, including excavation, fill and disposal of surplus excavated earth or other material for construction of new campus utilities, parking, site improvements and other associated work such as lighting, pavement markings, signage, asbestos abatement for utilities or infrastructure tie-in connections, shoring and protection of existing construction to remain or as otherwise required for performance of the work; and other incidental related work. The Contractor shall provide a contractor Quality Control system; laboratory and field testing, inspections and systems testing; and unit pricing for unforeseen bulk rock removal and/or trench rock removal. At this time, no solicitation exists; therefore, do not request a solicitation. Small Business Contractors and vendors having the skills and capabilities necessary to perform the stated requirements are invited to provide information to contribute to this market survey/sources sought. Responses should include the following information: 1. Company Name 2. Address 3. Point of Contact 4. Phone number and e-mail address 5. DUNS 6. Business size determination and qualifying Small Business status 7. Certification of Small Business Status (CVE verification if submitted as a SDVOSB or VOSB concern) Respondents are requested to submit a Capability Statement that exhibits clear and convincing evidence of your firm s capabilities and experience to perform the above described tasks. The capability statement is not to exceed 5 pages. Please provide your responses by email (ONLY) by September 30th, 2018 at 3:00 PM CST to Gerald Brusaw, Contracting Officer, email address, Gerald.brusaw@va.gov. This sources sought notice is for market research purposes in accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Part 10. It does NOT constitute a solicitation and is not to be considered as a commitment by the Government. All firms responding to this sources sought notice are advised that their response to this notice is not a request that will be considered for contract award. All interested parties will be required to respond to the resultant solicitation separately from their response to this sources sought. Small business concerns failing to respond to this add will not be precluded from responding to the solicitation. Note that this is not a Request for Proposal and the Government is seeking information for market research purposes only. The Government may or may not issue solicitation documents.
