- BOA: N0016418GWP04_0002 - JOB ORDER: N0016419FW001 - SOLE SOURCE - Engineering services and incidental supplies for AEGIS Weapons System - PSC AC65 - NAICS 334511 Issue Date: 24 SEP 2018 - Closing Date: 09 OCT 2018 - 02:00 PM EST Naval Surface Warfare Center (NSWC) Crane intends to negotiate and award a base year plus one option year, cost-plus-fixed-fee (CPFF), Job Order (JO) for Engineering services and incidental supplies for AEGIS Weapons System, AN/SPY-1 Radar elevated radar advanced capability with Lockheed Martin Corporation, 199 Borton Landing Rd, Moorestown, NJ 08057. The Government is contracting without providing for full and open competition under the authority of FAR 6.302-1; Lockheed Martin is the only source capable of providing the highly specialized services required for the AN/SPY-1 Radar and award to any other source would result in substantial duplication of cost to the Government that would not be expected to be recovered through competition, and would result in unacceptable delays in fulfilling the agency's requirement. All responsible sources may submit a capability statement which shall be considered by the agency. However, a determination by the Government not to compete this requirement based upon responses to this synopsis is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
