Description
Demolition: Architectural/Structural: Remove and dispose of damaged existing masonry at south faΓ§ade, including all hurricane damage related building debris on the ground. Remove and dispose of all doors (walk through and roll-up), frames, thresholds and hardware. Remove and dispose of portions of concrete slab as required for repairs. Remove and dispose of all windows, frames and sills. Remove and dispose of damaged built-up roofing system from structural metal deck, including perimeter trim and flashing. Structural metal roof deck shall be repaired. Only portions of roof deck determined to be unacceptable by the DB Contractor ™s engineer shall be replaced. Remove and dispose of existing non-compliant caged roof access ladder. Remove and dispose of damaged downspouts and gutter system. Remove and dispose of existing interior wall mounted racks and components. Remove and dispose of all miscellaneous items as noted below under other discipline sections. Civil: Clearing and grubbing on the south side of the building as necessary to construct new pavement drive surfaces Neatly sawcut, remove, and dispose of asphalt or concrete pavement on the west side of the building as required to provide a uniformly sloped concrete ramp into the building flush with the finished floor elevation. Mechanical: Remove and dispose of ventilation equipment. Remove and dispose of exterior mounted emergency eye wash. Remove and dispose of hose bibbs and interior piping. Electrical: Remove and dispose existing lighting fixtures. Remove and dispose existing electrical distributions equipment. Remove and dispose of expose electrical conduits and wirings. Construction: Architectural/Structural: Analyze, design, and install new concrete masonry to replace the damaged portions of the exterior CMU walls, at south wall and adjacent corners. Provide and design frames as needed for new door openings. Repair structural metal roof deck, replacing only portions which are not salvageable. Provide and install prefinished standing seam metal panels over self-adhered waterproof membrane on protection board over rigid insulation on repaired structural metal roof deck. Installation shall include perimeter flashing, gutters and downspouts. Provide an OSHA and NAVFAC compliant ladder as described in this RFP. Repair existing concrete slab. Concrete slab shall be smooth and level to accommodate fork-lift truck traffic. Provide translucent panels at existing window openings. Provide roll-up doors and walk through doors. Note: Some openings are existing and some shall be new as described in this RFP. Repair or replace corroded steel structural elements as required by the DB Contractor ™s Engineer. Replace damaged or missing bolts and anchor bolts. Provide continuous insulation at interior face of all cmu walls, from top of concrete slab to underside of metal roof deck. The wall insulation above the 9 ™ high liner panels shall be finished with an industrial grade exterior facer material. Provide 9 ™ high, metal liner panels (from top of concrete slab to 9 ™ high) on furring strips at all cmu walls. The exposed wall insulation above the 9 ™ high liner panels shall have a laminated, industrial grade facer material on the exposed side. Civil: Provide new connection to existing 8  watermain as shown in Part 6 of this RFP for potable water and fire protection services to the building. Provide new vehicular pavement surface on the south side of the building between the existing asphalt drive and the building, for access to the two proposed 12 ™ wide roll up doors. If the finished floor elevation changes as part of the concrete slab reconstruction/rehabilitation, provide a new concrete ramp on the west side of the building. Mechanical: Provide HVAC for warehouse building. Provide equipment rooms as required. Provide Siamese hose bibb at each exterior corner of warehouse building Provide hose bibb within 25 ™ of exterior mechanical equipment. Provide emergency eyewash and shower station. Electrical: Provide a new power distribution system. Provide a new LED lighting system. Provide convenience and dedicated power outlets Provide power to HVAC system. Provide power to new rollup doors. Provide a lightning protection system Provide a grounding system. Exterior lighting must be compliant with Florida Wildlife Commission requirements, and it must be approved by the USAF Fire Protection: Provide a new fire alarm system. Provide a new sprinkler system with in-rack sprinkler protection. Provide a new fire pump in a pre-engineered metal building to supply the facility.
