- J&A The Department of Labor, Mine Safety & Health Administration, intends to award a sole source contract under the authority of as implemented by FAR 13.106-1 - For purchases not exceeding the simplified acquisition threshold. (i) Contracting officers may solicit from one source if the contracting officer determines that the circumstances of the contract action deem only one source reasonably available (e.g. urgency, exclusive licensing agreements, brand-name or industrial mobilization), to Custom Solutions Group, LLC, 1419 Avenue A, Katy, Texas 77493 to purchse a new Agilent five-gas Gas Chromatograph (GC) for the National Air and Dust Laboratory (NADL) located at US Dept of Labor, Mine Safety and Health Administration, Mine Safety and Health Administration, Pittsburgh Safety and Health Technology Center, Attn: Dust Division, Building 38, 626 Cochrans Mill Road, Pittsburgh, PA 15236. This action will result in a firm fixed price. The NAICS code for this requirement is 334516 with a size standard of 1,000. System Overview The system features the analysis of permanent gases, including hydrogen, argon/oxygen, nitrogen, methane, carbon monoxide, and carbon dioxide, via dual TCD's on argon and helium carriers. Compounds eluting after hydrogen on the argon TCD channel are backflushed to vent. Compounds eluting after carbon dioxide on the helium TCD channel are backflushed to vent. Ethylene, ethane, propylene, and propane, may also be analyzed on the helium TCD channel with an extension of the backflush time. Manufacturer's Content 1. G3440B, Agilent Model 7890B GC, 120V 2. Supply and installation of A3C10WE, pneumatically actuated, 10 port combination injection and backflush-to-vent valve, W Style, with Valcon E rotor rated to 200C, mounted in the auxiliary valve oven. 9. Supply and installation of two each packed columns: (1) one each 4' x 1/16" HayeSep Q, 80/100 mesh, stainless steel, mounted in the column oven, and (2) one each 4' x 1/16" molecular sieve 5A, 80/100 mesh, stainless steel, mounted in the column oven. This Notice of Intent to award a sole source contract is not a request for competitive proposals. There is no solicitation document. No RFP will be available for competitive proposals.
