- This Request for Information (RFI) is in reference to the Mod Kits, Aircraft Recovery, Augmentation, Components, & Engines (KRACEn) program. The purpose of the RFI is to gather data to shape the future procurement strategy during the market research phase. Market research is a continuous process, and flexibility to adjust to ideas and recommendations in best practices, lessons learned and market capacity is being emphasized. The team is eliciting input from industry to provide information to the below questions: 1) If your firm has been awarded a contract under the provisions of FAR 19.8 (i.e. under the SBA’s 8a business development program either as a direct award 8a or competitive 8a action) for work that may fall under one of the four identified KRACEn pools (Air Vehicle CLS, Air Vehicle Systems/Components, Air Vehicle Engines, and Augmentation), please identify your company name, company POC, CAGE, contract number(s), and description of the effort. Please provide this information even if your company has since graduated the 8a program. 2) If your firm is currently in an approved Mentor-Protégé Agreement (MPA) or working to finalize an MPA under either the SBA’s All-Small Mentor Protégé Program (ASMPP) or SBA’s 8a Mentor Protégé Program (8a MPP), please indicate if you have formed/are considering forming a joint venture (JV) with your mentor for purposes of proposing under any of the four identified KRACEn pools. Please identify your company name & CAGE (protégé), company POC, mentor company name & CAGE, date SBA approved the MPA (if MPA is not approved, please provide anticipated date of SBA approval as well as the cognizant SBA Office and SBA POC), the JV name and CAGE (if obtained), and identify each pool that the JV is considering for proposal under KRACEn. Submit all responses via email to the primary and secondary points of contacts listed below no later than 12:00 PM EST on Friday, September 28, 2018. Please use "KRACEn RFI" in the subject line.
