- Draft Statement of Work Draft Specification NASA/Goddard Space Flight Center plans to issue a Request for Proposal (RFP) for a space-qualified Battery for the NASA Goddard Space Flight Center (GSFC) PACE Mission. The Battery is a rechargeable Lithium-Ion battery used to supply power to the PACE Observatory during prelaunch operations, the launch phase, the eclipse periods for all mission phases. The battery consists of Lithium-Ion cells, wiring, battery enclosure/frame, instrumentation, and electrical connectors. For more information about the technical requirements, please refer to the attached draft Statement of Work and the attached draft Spacecraft Battery Specification. The NAICS Code and Size Standard are 335911 and 1,250 employees, respectively. The anticipated release date of the RFP is on or about October 09, 2018 with anticipated proposal due date of on or about November 23, 2018. All responsible sources may submit a proposal which shall be considered by the agency. NASA Clause 1852.215-84, Ombudsman, is applicable. The Center Ombudsman for this acquisition can be found at http://prod.nais.nasa.gov/pub/pub_library/Omb.html. The solicitation and any documents related to this procurement will be available over the Internet. These documents will reside on a World-Wide Web (WWW) server, which may be accessed using a WWW browser application. Prospective offeror's shall notify this office of their intent to submit an offer. It is the offeror's responsibility to monitor the Internet site for the release of the solicitation and amendments (if any). Potential offeror's will be responsible for downloading their own copy of the solicitation and amendments (if any). All questions must be submitted in via email to Rogenia M.B. Dean no later than September 28, 2018. Telephone questions will not be accepted.
