- The 375th Contracting Squadron, Scott AFB IL, intends to award a sole source requirement to Applied Research Associates, Inc. (ARA), for the FY18 purchase of security cameras and command control communications display equipment that will integrate into the Sentinel Integrated Base Defense Security System (IBDSS). The Sentinel Command and Control Software (SCCS) used to run the IBDSS at Scott AFB, IL is not available for purchase on the open market and is proprietary software to ARA. Any company integrating cameras into the system would have to obtain access to SCCS through ARA. The cameras will be affixed to Command Post and Hangar 1 on Scott AFB, IL. The reference number is FA4407-18-Q-3033, the associated North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code is 561621, and the small business size standard is $20,500,000.00 annual revenue. The sole source purchase will be awarded under the authority of FAR 6.302-1. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive quotes; however, interested parties may identify their interest and capability no later than 18 September, 3:00 P.M. CST. A determination by the Government not to compete this procurement after receiving any responses is exclusively at the discretion of the Government.
