- The Mission and installation Contracting Command (MICC) Fort Hood is Issuing a SOLICTATION for an invitation for Bids (IFB) firm fixed price construction contract to replace the existing Air Handling Unit & add another zone at the Post Office (Building. 332) on Fort Hood Texas. This acquisition is 100% set aside for Women Owned Small Business (WOSB) set aside under NAICS Code 238220 - Plumbing, Heating, and Air-Conditioning Contractors with a Small Business Size Standard of $15.0 Million and PSC code of Z1AB- MAINTENANCE OF CONFERENCE SPACE AND FACILITIES. The magnitude of this procurement is estimated to be between $250,000 and $500,000. The purpose of this project is to replace the existing HVAC system (AHU, pumps, chiller and all associated accessories) with new HVAC system and upgrade the control system with new DDC control system in the post office (Building 332). Work also includes all miscellaneous site work to support the facility and meet code requirements. The CONTRACTOR shall provide all plant, supervision, labor, materials, equipment, supplies and transportation necessary to complete this scope of work. Except as provided elsewhere in proposed contract. All work shall comply with all State, local and Federal laws and regulations, industry and construction codes and standards, manufacturer's specifications and recommendations, and all contract special provisions, terms and conditions. All work under this proposed contract will be performed within the confines of the Fort Hood military installation at Fort Hood Texas The wage Determination: General Decision Number: TX 180279 07/06/2018 TX 279; Superseded General Decision Number: TX 20170279; State: Texas; Construction Type: Building; County: Bell County in Texas, will govern work under this contract. The bid guarantee in the amount shall be at least 20% of the bid price but shall not exceed $500,000.00. Performance and payment bonds must equal 100 percent of the original contract price. An organized site visit will be conducted on 23 August 2018 at 0900am CDT for this procurement. Details of that site visit will be available in the solicitation. The Bid opening will be conducted on 20 September 2018 at 1:30pm CDT. Contract performance will be 120 days after receipt of notice to proceed. The Technical exhibits will be available for inspection without charge thru the Federal Business Opportunity (FEDBIZOpps) at website: https://www.fbo.gov No paper copies of this solicitation are available.
