- Page 1 of 1 Intent to Sole Source Paceart Optima System at Tennessee VA Medical Center, Nashville, TN The Department of Veterans Affairs intends to issue a sole source base plus 4 years contract to Medtronic Inc. 710 Medtronic Pkwy Minneapolis, MN 55432. A sole source procurement will be issued to Medtronic, Inc. because the Paceart Optima System is used in TVHS Cardiology Department to follows approximately 2000 patients with implanted cardiac pacemaker and defibrillators. Those devices must be evaluated and followed closely at least quarterly and those with advisories/recalls evaluated monthly. All the generator and lead serial numbers detailed information have to be readily available to be queried in the event of a new advisory. This procurement is being conducted in accordance with FAR part 6.302-1 and 13.106-1(b)(2), soliciting from a single source. The NAICS code is 37129 and has a size standard of 750 employees. SCOPE OF WORK: Tennessee VA Medical Center has a need for Paceart Optima System for patient treatment. EQUIPMENT: Paceart Optima System This notice of intent is not a request for competitive quotes. However, interested parties may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement and submit quotations no later than September 18, 2018 at 10:00 am CST to: Cheri.Burton-Crutcher@va.gov. Responses received will be evaluated; however, a determination by the Government not to compete the proposed procurement based upon responses received to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
