Description
This modification is the final amendment, changing the response date to August 31st, 2018. There are no other changes to this modification. This modification amendment changes to the response date. There are no other changes to this solicitation. This is a notice of intent and solicitation for procurement of the following: The USDA-ARS located in Maricopa, Arizona has a requirement for installation of a system that will provide speakers, microphones, and a control system in three conference rooms. The three rooms can become one large room or separated by partitions in any configuration of 1, 2, or all 3 rooms. The Contractor shall provide all professional services necessary and such required services shall be in accordance with the requirements as described herein and on attached contract documents. The successful contractor will supply all labor, materials and equipment to install the necessary hardware for this system. Background: The location's conference rooms are large enough that speakers' voices and sound from computer equipment does not travel well enough for those farthest from the voice/sound to sometimes hear well enough. The installed system will provide provides the capacity to detect and transmit a voice within the conference rooms speakers in all areas of the conference rooms. The system will need to allow for separation of sound within the individual conference rooms. Additional speakers will need to be mounted to project sound to the cafeteria from the conference rooms when the cafeteria partitions are opened. Lastly, the system should allow for computers/laptops/tablets to be plugged in (or wirelessly attached) and provide sound to the speakers throughout all the rooms. All work must be coordinated with the COR (Michael Roybal). This request is for the installation of microphones, speakers, and a control unit in the conference rooms. The control unit will be installed in a storage room that is accessed through conference room 1. PART ONE : •· Install Control Unit, Microphones, and Speakers. •· Conduct sound checks to ensure the system projects the sound properly throughout all three conference rooms, from persons speaking, and from computer equipment. For any site visit information, coordinate with Mike Roybal (email: mike.roybal@ars.usda.gov ) or Robert LaMorte (Robert.lamorte@ars.usda.gov The contractor shall be responsible for verifying site conditions, obtaining accurate measurement of existing conditions, and performing any act or operation which may be necessary to properly quote the work and complete the same as depicted and specified. Failure to verify the existing site conditions shall not relieve the Contractor of the responsibility to complete the work as required. Installation: It shall be the responsibility of the Contractor to complete the work in accordance with the manufacturer's recommendations and Industry Standards. Additional procedures and materials may be required than is indicated herein. If any item specified herein conflicts with applicable codes and recommendation, the Contractor shall bring it to the attention of the Facility Manager (Harry Gardner) for resolution. Supervision: The Contractor will designate one supervisor for satisfactory supervision on the contract work. The Contractor or his/her on-site representative shall be available at all times while the contract work is in progress. Conduct of workers: The personnel employed by the Contractor shall be capable employees qualified in this type of work. As stated elsewhere, the Contractor shall be responsible for, among other things, all damage to the government property resulting from the operations. Cleanup : The construction site shall be kept clean and free of debris at all times. Upon completion of project, and prior to final inspection, the Contractor shall remove from the premises all unused material, trash, and debris resulting from the work to the satisfaction of the COR. Sanitation facilities: The contractor may use the government sanitary facilities during the execution of this project. It is required that the contractor use these facilities in a responsible manner. Government Furnished Utilities: The Government will furnish electrical and water utilities for the contractors' use during the contract period so long as the contractor uses these efficiently and economically. Damage to Contractors' Property: The Government will not be responsible in any way for damage to the Contractors' equipment or the contractors' employees' personal belongings brought onto the Government premises during the performance of this contract. Warranty : All bids will contain information concerning a one year warranty for parts and workmanship, including the warranty period (dates), and warranty contracts with names, addresses and telephone numbers. Extended Equipment/Product Warranties: Obtain and furnish to the Contracting Officer all written warranties for equipment/products that have extended warranties (warranty period exceeding the standard one-year warranty) furnished under the contract. The warranty period shall begin on the same date as project acceptance and shall continue for the full/product warranty period. The warranties shall be full executed and delivered to the Contracting Officer prior to final acceptance of the facility. Regulatory clauses: Per FAR 52.215-1(c)(A), late submissions will not be considered for award. Appendix A Diagram of three conference rooms and cafeteria: Cafeteria Conference Room 2 Conference Room 3 Conference Room 1 Dimensions: Conference Room 1 17'9" x 19'3" (17 feet/9 inches x 19 feet/3 inches) Conference Room 2 16'4" x 27'11" (16 feet/4 inches x 27 feet/11 inches) Conference Room 3 16'6" x 27'11" (16 feet/6 inches x 27 feet/11 inches) Cafeteria 34'4" x 24'6" (34 feet/4 inches x 24 feet/6 inches) *Left to right is the first number in the above dimensions.
