- Description
- This is a notice of intent to award a sole source contract pursuant to Federal Acquisition Regulation FAR 13.106-1(b)(1)(i). The ACC-APG Tenant Contracting Division, Aberdeen Proving Ground, MD intends to award a Firm-Fixed Price sole source contract to JEOL USA (CAGE 51043). The contractor shall provide a console for a JEOL JNM ECZ400S Spectrometer. The unit must be able to provide the software required to keep the integrity of the previous 15 years of collected data for processing. This unit must gradient shim each sample for data collection, and the unit must run a JEOL-Specific macro program that handles all data acquisition set up, routines and post acquisition processing of the data. Must have the following specification for the unit: broadband high resolution NMR probe for both direct and indirect detection fitted with an actively shielded Z-axis gradient for 5mm sample tubes on 400MHz standard bore magnets. The LF coil can be tuned to observe any nucleus from 31P to 15N, plus 39K and 109Ag. The HF coil may be tuned to 1H or 19F and simultaneously tuned to 1H and 19F infinity. The probe is fitted with a 2H lock. The probe is compatible with the JEOL Auto tune accessory units (NM-61160ATZ's and NM-61360ATEXT). The probe includes one variable temperature compatible sample spinner. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) for this requirement is 334516. Posting date of this requirement is August 24, 2018. A determination by the Government not to compete with this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement no later than 10:00AM Eastern Daylight Time, August 31, 2018. Any response to this notice must show clear and convincing evidence that competition will be advantageous to the Government in future procurements. This is not a Request for Quote.
