Document identifies terms and conditions as well as details of sole source award Approved Sole Source Justification A notice of intent to sole source synopsis (special notice) will be posted on FBO to notify the public of the Governments intent to make a sole source award for the Laboratory at Naval Medical Center Portsmouth. This sole source award is for medical testing that the department has deemed necessary for proper patient care. Children's Hospital of Kings Daughter provides unique testing capabilities and quick turnaround for results due to proximity to NMCP. The tests are very specific to the critical STAT testing being performed and this is what is required for Laboratory to satisfy its mission at NMCP. Any deviation from the specifications of these test will increase the risk to the patient and is unacceptable to the Government. Sole Source documents are attached to special notice.
