Description

J&A - Unusual and Compelling Urgency for SPM7LX-11-D-0157 (Redacted) The Defense Logistics Agency (DLA) Land and Maritime awarded this effort to Science Applications International Corporation (SAIC), CAGE (79343), in accordance with FAR Part 6.302-2, Unusual and Compelling Urgency, on 24 August 2018. This requirement is to incorporate a 180 day extension to the TSI contract i n order to ensure uninterrupted contract support. DLA Land and Maritime requires continue performance of the TSI contract until the successor tire supply contract, Global Tires Program (GTP) solicitation SPE7LX-17-R-0090, is awarded and a transition period is completed. This J&A authorizes the bilateral extension for contract SPM7LX-11-D-0157 for 180 days from 3 October 2018 through 31 March 2019; potential performance if the all options are exercised through 29 July 2019. Currently, the TSI contract is operating under administrative contract number SPE7L1-17-D-0013 and the extension action was completed through a modification to this contract number; SPE7L1-17-D-0013-P00008.
