- The U.S. Bureau of Reclamation, Upper Colorado Region, has a requirement to remove and replace 5 garage doors at the Elephant Butte Dam located near Truth and Consequences, NM. This requirement is being procured in accordance with Fart 12 and 13 of the Federal Acquisition Regulations. The Bureau of Reclamation intends to issue a competitive solicitation for this requirement. This requirement is a total small business set aside. PROJECT DESCRIPTION: Elephant Butte Field Division is responsible for operations of Elephant Butte Dam and Powerplant. Two of the buildings located at the base of the dam have large bay doors that allow access to a machine shop, auto shop, welding shop and warehouse. The existing doors are panel type with a single motor operator and were installed in the 70 ¿s. The Contractor shall remove five existing garage doors including hardware and replace and install with five new roll-up doors. (1) Machine Shop, (2) Auto Shop doors and (1) Welding shop door are 14 feet tall by 12 feet wide. Existing 120-volt power is at the motor operator. The entire existing doors shall be removed, including panel door, tracks for rollers, safety supports, motor operator, electrical disconnections, and any associated hardware. The warehouse door is 10 feet tall by 10 feet wide. Existing 120-volt power is at the motor operator. Reclamation will be responsible to run the 120 V power to where it is needed for the installation of the doors.
