- Description
- The Naval Health Research Center is searching for sources to provide manufactured materials to build a mosquito surveillance tent in support of the Department of Entomology at Naval Medical research Unit Six (NAMRU6) Lima, Peru. This requirement is for 1 Six Tons Basic and ColPro ECU 208V/60Hz with 3 ft, attached ducts and coupler with 15 ft duct Ext., 1 flooring for 305 shelter, 60" x 32" x 24", 1 kit light with transit case and 1 Multi Function Shelter for 12-14 personnel. The requested products will serve to establish a mosquito surveillance tent that will be used for pathogen detection of pathogens of medical relevance such as leishmaniasis, malaria, arbovirus and ricketssiosis. This sources sought notice is not a request for competitive proposals and no solicitation document exist for the requirement. Sources interested in responding to this notice are required to submit a capability statement that includes management and technical data and cost information, in sufficient details and with convincing evidence that clearly demonstrates the capability to provide the required products. The capability statement shall not exceed 5 pages (8.5 x 11 inch) using a font size not smaller than 10 points. All capability statements received by the due date will be considered by the Government. A request for documentation, additional information or submissions that only ask questions will not be considered as an affirmative response. A determination by the Government not to compete based on responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement or to proceed with a sole source contract. If capable sources are not identified through this notice, then NHRC intends to award a sole source contract under the authority of FAR 6.302-1 to HDT Expeditionary System Inc., 30500 Aurora Road, suite 100, Solon, OH 44139-2795 for the performance of the described requirement. Capability statements are due by 08:00 am local time, 09-08-2018.
