Description
NOTICE: The U.S. Department of Energy (DOE), National Energy Technology Laboratory (NETL) is issuing the following Brand-Name/Exact Match only Request for Quote (RFQ, for the purchase of Materials Technologies (Ma. Tec.) Crush-BK 500 with software, PC connection and accessories here in. BRAND NAME JUSTIFICATION: This brand name justification is written under the authority of 41 U.S.C. 2304(c)(1) as implemented by FAR 6.302-1(c), 11.104 and 11.105. The CRUSH-BK 500 will be used for measuring and characterizing the crush strength of BIAS pellets. This instrument allows to make both single pellet and bulk measurements with the same instrument and in its standard configuration for a maximum load of 500Kg. The Crush-BK 500 has the fundamental components to meet NETL ™s requirement, particularly the ASTM D4179, D6175, and D7084 standard testing methods and associated equipment. Interested vendors are strongly encouraged to submit their quotation on the RFQ Standard Form (SF) 18, and provide all supporting documents, as necessary, via email at Cynthia.Panasiewicz@netl.doe.gov by Tuesday, September 4, 2018 at 5:30 p.m. If vendors have questions regarding the solicitation, please submit those questions via email at Cynthia.Panasiewicz@netl.doe.gov by 2:30 p.m. Monday, August 27, 2018. EVALUATION: An award shall be made to the lowest priced, technically acceptable quote. The Government reserves the right to request vendors provide documentation that validates they are an approved and authorized reseller of the brand/manufacturer, and that the products/services quoted meet the exact match/brand-name requirement(s). Selection will be based on the vendor ™s quotation that is considered technically acceptable with the lowest firm-fixed price quote. The Government anticipates issuing a single award from this RFQ. To be considered for award, vendors must quote on all items/services listed in the solicitation. Vendors shall submit descriptive literature detailing features, technical capabilities and warranty data (as necessary for an acceptability determination by the Government). Technical acceptability shall be determined solely on the content and merit of the information submitted in response to this solicitation as it compares to the items included here in. Technical acceptability will be determined solely on the content and merit of the information submitted in response to this RFQ. The technical acceptability determination will be based on the quotation(s) with an exact brand name/item (part) number only as those included within this RFQ. Items quoted must be an exact match of the product. NO SUBSTITUTION ITEMS proposed will be considered for award.
