Response : This is a new requirement. ---------------------------------- THIS IS A COMBINED SYNOPSIS/SOLICITATION FOR COMMERCIAL ITEMS PREPARED IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE FORMAT IN FAR SUBPART 12.6-STREAMLINED PROCEDURES FOR EVALUATION AND SOLICITATION FOR COMMERCIAL ITEMS-AS SUPPLEMENTED WITH ADDITIONAL INFORMATION INCLUDED IN THIS NOTICE. THIS ANNOUNCEMENT CONSTITUTES THE ONLY SOLICITATION; QUOTATIONS ARE BEING REQUESTED, AND A WRITTEN SOLICITATION DOCUMENT WILL NOT BE ISSUED. This acquisition is set aside for small businesses. Simplified acquisition procedures will be utilized. Building 302 of the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) is the utility plant that supports the Gaithersburg Maryland campus. The building contains mission critical industrial equipment and systems for the production and use of chilled water, steam, and compressed air in support of the NIST Gaithersburg campus. The objective of this contract is for a contractor to provide preventative maintenance (PM) services to perform preventative maintenance services, repairs, replacements parts, testing and inspections, and emergency services for the industrial equipment in building 302 and ancillary supporting systems to the utility plant.
