Description
By way of this Market Survey/Sources Sought Notice, the USACE-Chicago District intends to determine the extent of firms that are engaged in providing the services described hereunder to perform Upgrades to an existing security system. The responses to this Notice will be used for planning purposes for an upcoming procurement. Therefore, this Notice does not constitute a Request for Proposal (RFP); it does not guarantee the future issue of a RFP; nor does it commit the government to contract for any supply or service whatsoever. Further, this Agency will not accept unsolicited proposals. Respondents are advised that this Agency will not pay for any information or administrative cost incurred in response to this Notice; all costs associated with responding to this Notice will be solely at the responding party's expense. GOVERNMENT REQUIREMENTS: This proposed contract requires the contractor to perform construction services to upgrade the security system for the U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE). The contractor will be responsible for replacing Electronic Security System (ESS) with a new Physical Access Control/Visitor Management system not limited to installation fourteen access control output boards, ten access control input boards, three access control board cabinets, and all necessary wiring. In addition, the contract will include life safety door upgrades not limited to installation of reinforced glass window and panic crash bars. The contractor will modify the existing closed circuit television (CCTV) cameras and existing intercom system, installation of G2 perimeter security features, not limited to replacing 20' x 10' high cantilevered vehicle gate, controller and track system. In addition, the contract includes installation of radio tower 25 feet extension to support PTZ camera system. PROJECT MAGNITUDE: The cost magnitude of this project will be $100,000.00 to $250,000.00. REQUESTED INFORMATION: This Agency requests that interested contractors complete the following questions to assist the government in its efforts. 1. Firm's name and BUSINESS SIZE, address, point of contact, phone number, and e-mail address: 2. Is your company currently registered with the System for Award Management (SAM) formerly known as the Central Contractor's Registration (CCR) Database? If not, has it been registered or does it plan to register? 3. In consideration of NAICS code 238210 "Electrical Contractors and Other Wiring Installation" with a small business size standard in dollars of $ 7.5M, which of the following small business categories is your business classified under, if any? Small Business, Veteran Owned Small Business, Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business, Small Disadvantaged Business, Woman-Owned Small Business, HUBZone Small Business, or 8(a) Business. 4. Is the potential offeror capable of obtaining performance and payment bonds for a project valued between $100,000.00 to $250,000.00? OR Other payment protect such as an irrevocable letter of credit? 5. Is the potential offeror interested in performing as a subcontractor or a prime? 6. Does the potential offeror have experience in the work described for this project? If so, how many years? SUBMISSION OF RESPONSES: Respondents interested in providing a response to this Notice shall provide their submittals to Anita R.
