This is a SOURCES SOUGHT ANNOUNCEMENT ONLY. It is neither a solicitation announcement nor a request for proposals or quotes and does not obligate the Government to award a contract. Requests for a solicitation will not receive a response. Responses to this Sources Sought must be in writing. The purpose of this Sources Sought Announcement is for market research to make appropriate acquisition decisions and to gain knowledge of potential qualified Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Businesses and Veteran Owned Small Businesses. Title of Project:   INTEGRA HEADLIGHTS | 646-18-3-233-0111 2.  Statement of Work: The VA Pittsburgh Surgical Service is in need of 10 Replacement Integra Luxtec MLX 300 Watt Light sources. 10 of the current head lights have reach max life and need to be sent out for repair frequently. The current working headlights are of the same brand and will be interchangeable with the new ones so this brand and model is absolute. These headlights are worn by the surgeon during open surgical procedures, they supply a high intensity white light through fiber optic cords that connect to a light source for illumination of a surgical field, making it easier to see in deeper zones. Salient Characteristics: The minimum requirements are as follows: Type: Xenon Short Arc Lamp Wattage: 300 Watts Lamp Life: 1000 Hours Light source 15.4 L x 11.2 W x 5.9 H (390mm L x 285mm W x 150mm H) 12.5 lbs. (5.7 kg) Power input 100 240VAC, 50/60Hz, 6.3A Class 1 protection Hospital grade Continuous operation Power dissipation 450wts Description MLX 33w Xenon Light Source Qty-10 Floorstand Qty-10 Ancillary, Headband UL Plus BI #AX1375BIF Qty-5 Ultralite Pro Headlight w/Premium Cable Qty-5 3.   Type of Contract:   Firm-Fixed-Price. 4. Delivery: Delivery shall be F.O.B. Destination. Shipping address: Pittsburgh VA Medical Center University Drive Pittsburgh, PA 15240. The Government is not obligated to nor will it pay for or reimburse any costs associated with responding to this sources sought synopsis request. This notice shall not be construed as a commitment by the Government to issue a solicitation or ultimately award a contract, nor does it restrict the Government to a particular acquisition approach. The Government will in no way be bound to this information if any solicitation is issued.
