W912EP18B0009 Amendment 0001 A Pre-Proposal Conference call will be held on Wednesday, 29 August 2018 FROM 10:00AM - 11:00AM. The call-in number is: 877-402-9753, the ACCESS CODE is: 6546236, and the SECURITY CODE is: 2873. It is requested that an email be sent to william.j.wallace@usace.army.mil to confirm attendance by your organization. DESCRIPTION OF WORK: The project consists of base and option work for dredging beach compatible sand from the Sand Bypass Dredging Area (SBDA) north of the Canaveral Harbor Inlet and transporting the dredged material to a designated beach placement site south of the inlet. The sand material will be transferred under the Canaveral Harbor navigation channel via a pipeline excavation trench. The pipeline is to be installed and removed by the Contractor as part of the project work. Material dredged to install the pipeline shall be side-casted downstream and within Canaveral Harbor Channel. Incidental work includes beach tilling, turbidity monitoring, vibration control monitoring, bird monitoring, and endangered species monitoring. The anticipated Period of Performance is 211 calendar days from issuance of Notice to Proceed. PROPOSAL REQUIREMENTS: The Invitation for Bid (IFB) will be issued on or about 8 Aug 2018 and bids will be due on or about 11 September 2018. NAICS Code 237990, size standard $27.5 million. Magnitude of construction is between $15,500,000.00 and $26,000,000.00. THIS IS AN UNRESTRICTED ACQUISITION. ALL RESPONSIBLE OFFERORS ARE ENCOURAGED TO PARTICIPATE. NOTE: COAST GUARD CERTIFIED HOPPER DREDGE IS REQUIRED. The IFB will be issued in electronic format only and will be posted on the Federal Business Opportunities website (Fed Biz Opps) at https://www.fbo.gov.
