- Sources Sought Notices The Department of Veterans Affairs, herein afterwards referred to as VISN 6, to establish a Blanket Purchase Agreement (BPA) with Base plus Four Year Option on schedule Federal Supply Schedule (FSS) for Multiplex PCR Analyzer for the identification of Pathogens in Positive Blood Cultures, Respiratory Infections and Gastro-Intestinal illness. The Government will award a BPA to a single Contractor to provide BioFire Diagnostics BCID, RESP and GI kits to the medical center which already have Film Array Analyzer equipment: computer, printer reagents, torch module and disposables required for operating the microbial identification system and producing quality results. VISN 6 P&LMS s (including the following VA Medical Centers Asheville, Durham, Fayetteville, Hampton, Richmond, Salisbury, and Salem) The automated instruments and all products provided must be certified compatible for use with VAMC owned instrument in place. G. Bill Hefner VAMC, 1601 Brenner Avenue, Salisbury, NC 28144 The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code for this acquisition is 334516, with a Classification code of 6650. This is not a request for bids, quotes, or proposals. This is a REQUEST FOR INFORMATION/ SOURCES SOUGHT announcement only. The purpose of this notice is to conduct market research and obtain information from qualified businesses. The responses to this announcement will assist in socio-economic set-aside feasible. The Veterans Administration is required by Public Law 104-9 to give priority to SDVOSB and VOSB concerns if there should be sufficient firms available to compete enter a set-aside. If insufficient veteran-owned and small business responses are received to establish the basis for setting this action aside for other than large business participation, then the action will be advertised as full and open competition, in which case, all interested parties responding shall be eligible to bid. Interested firms are reminded that in accordance with FAR 4.12, prospective contractors shall complete electronic annual representations and certifications in conjunction with FAR 4.11 required registration in the System for Award Management (SAM) database prior to award of a contract. Interested parties should submit with their response the following information no later than 4:30 PM EST August 24, 2018 and include POC information, FSS contract number (if applicable), business size, and business SBA classification(s).
