Bipolar units concentrate energy into a much smaller field and decrease tissue destruction. Allowing electrosurgery near vital structures (such as the eye). In addition, this unit with Bovie capability, allows for bloodless electrocuting (using it like a scalpel) as well as electrocoagulation. This will allow us a new capacity: to treat rhinophyma and scars without actual scalpel surgery. All of our skin cancer surgeons would like to have this type of unit available.
