- Solicitation The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, New England District is issuing a set aside for small business contractors for the Gatehouse Crack and Joint Repairs project, located at the Hopkinton Dam, in Contoocook, New Hampshire. The NAICS code for the work described below is 238390. The project is planned to be issued in July, 2018, and will be set aside for Small Businesses. The construction will extend over a one-month period occurring in the fall of 2018. The estimated magnitude of this project is between $25,000 and $100,000. Any responsible source meeting this standard may submit a quote to be considered by the New England District. The location of work to be performed under this contract shall be at the Hopkinton Dam, located in Contoocook, New Hampshire. This project consists of the following components: -Clean the exterior vertical construction joints present in the gatehouse to remove previous sealant. There are two joints each on both the north and south faces of the gatehouse that extend from the ground surface up to the top of the parapet wall. -Install new elastomeric joint sealant in the four construction joint segments on the exterior of the gatehouse. -Clean out and make ready to receive sealant several cracks that are present on the exterior of the gatehouse. -Install new elastomeric joint sealant to the prepared cracks. -Install backer rods and elastomeric sealant in the gaps currently present underneath the exterior windows in the gatehouse. This project consists of work at heights, and will contain fall hazards. This contract will contain a Definitive Responsibility Criteria, or DRC. In order to be found responsible, the apparent low bidder must demonstrate past experience on the following work component. To demonstrate experience, vendors must summarize their experience on a past project that must have been completed within the past five years. More than one project may be used to satisfy these requirements. Working at heights which required the use of fall protection equipment and providing oversight by a Fall Competent Person, as defined in EM 385-1-1. Vendors can use one or more projects to demonstrate past experience. If a subcontractor is used to complete the DRC, that subcontractor must demonstrate his past experience. Vendors are not required to submit additional documentation related to this criterion at the time of closing. The Government will request supporting documentation from the vendor anticipated to receive the award, prior to award. Please note this solicitation is set aside for small businesses. This is not a request for quotes at this time; the solicitation requirements and contract documents to include instructions for submission and the response date will be available on or about July, 2018. Neither telephonic, mailed nor faxed requests for hard copies of this solicitation will be accepted. The solicitation will only be available online; in order to download the solicitation offerors must access the Federal Business Opportunities website (www.fbo.gov). All responsible sources may submit a quote which shall be considered by the New England District.
