Description

This Sources Sought Notice is for informational and planning purposes only and shall not be construed as a solicitation or as an obligation or commitment by the Government at this time. This notice is intended strictly for market research. The purpose of this Sources Sought notice is to determine interest and capability of Other than Small Businesses and/or Small Businesses, including VIP-Verified Veteran-Owned Small Business (VOSB) or Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business (SDVOSB) prospective contractors relative to the North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code 326199 (All Other Plastics Product Manufacturing). Dry Storage Shelving Units (Cambro Model No. Camshelving 4-Tier) is known to meet the Government s needs. The Government is requesting that Other Than Small Businesses and Small Businesses, including VIP-Verified VOSB or SDVOSB sources respond if it can provide the following Brand Name or Equal: CLIN Item Description Qty Unit 0001 CPMU183675V4480 Camshelving Premium Mobile Starter Unit 18" W X 36"L X 75"H, 4-tier 1 EA 0002 CPMU243675V4480 Camshelving Premium Mobile Starter Unit 24"W X 36"L X 75"H, 4-Tier 3 EA 0003 CPMU244875V4480 Camshelving Premium Mobile Starter Unit 24"W X 48"L X 75"H, 4-Tier 36 EA Salient Characteristics for Dry Storage Shelving Units (Cambro Model No. Camshelving 4-Tier) Shelving that is plastic with an antimicrobial poly-exterior and provides ventilation as well as ease of cleaning for sanitation Shelving units must be no more than 18" wide by 36" long and a minimum of 75" high to allow for maximum storage shelving units in the space that will utilize the shelves Shelving units must be no more than 24" wide by 36" long and a minimum of 75" high to allow for maximum storage shelving units in the space that will utilize the shelves Shelving units must be no more than 24" wide by 48" long and a minimum of 75" high to allow for maximum storage shelving units in the space that will utilize the shelves Shelving units must be a minimum of 4-tiered to provide enough space for storing of products with adjustable shelving plates to provide ample ventilation Shelving must be mobile with swivel casters that lock Shelving must have the ability to be adjustable as bottom of the shelving unit must be at least 6" off the ground Shelving must have vented shelves as to prevent microbial growth and allow for proper ventilation Must be able to withhold a minimum of 2000lbs per shelving unit Shelving must be able to maintain function by withstand temperatures of a range from -36-190F as they can be used in freezer, refrigerator, and dry storage areas. Shelving must provide warranty against rust and corrosion (includes posts, traverses and shelf plates) Easy to assemble with minimal parts and tools for Hines VA staff to assemble. Interested Other Than Small Businesses and Small Businesses including VIP-Verified VOSBs and SDVOSBs are required to submit an e-mail delineating: Qualifications, capabilities, and experience for providing this product; Business size/Socioeconomic status; If the product is on the Federal Supply Schedule or the Open Market; and Memo or correspondence from manufacturer to distribute their products. This is not a Request for Proposal/Quote or an announcement of a solicitation and no solicitation package exists at this time. Responses will be used solely for market research purposes of the Government. The Government will not pay for any materials provided in response to this notice and submissions will not be returned to the sender. VOSBs and SDVOSBs must be registered and verified in VIP for set-aside consideration. The applicable North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code for this requirement is 326199 and the small business size standard is 750 employees.
