- The contractor shall provide all materials, vehicles, equipment, tools, supervision and labor necessary to perform the work defined within this Statement of Work. The purpose of this project is to remove ten trees and plant 15 Magnolia trees at Hot Springs National Park. The contractor shall accomplish tree and stump removal along Bathhouse Row on the islands containing Southern Magnolias. The contractor shall perform stump and perimeter roots removal by completely removing stump by a suitable size tree spade and cutting and/or grinding all remaining growth to a minimum of eight inches below grade. Plant 15 Southern Magnolias (Magnolia Grandiflora) in 200 gallon containers with a 5 to 6 inch caliper. Excavate remaining material to size required for the new root ball, Planting of trees shall conform to ANSI Z60.1
