- mCAC Reader Requirements This is a Request for Information. Please read the attached requirements document and the questions below. Please submit all responses to krystal.j.hussong.civ@mail.mil. Questions: •1. Do your mobile CAC readers have a mobile app on publicly available app stores that meets Federal Information Processing Standards (FIPS) [FIPS 201, for personnel identity verification of federal employees and contractors; FIPS 140-2, security standards used to accredit cryptographic modules] and can be used with Apple devices such as (iPhones, iPads) and Android devices (smart phones and tablets) with micro-USB and USB-C ports. •2. Do your iOS mobile CAC readers have a lightening (iOSha), micro-USB or USB-C ports (Android) to enable the mobile CAC reader to be dual-used as a CAC reader for laptop and PCs? •3. Is your company licensed by Thursby to "bundle" the Thursby Sub Rosa app with your mobile CAC reader(s)?
