Description
The United States Army Medical Research Acquisition Activity (USAMRAA) has a follow-on requirement in support of the Walter Reed Army Institute of Research (WRAIR), Armed Forces Research Institute of Medical Sciences (AFRIMS) for Project and study support for Surveillance for Emerging Infectious Disease and Clinical Trials in Cambodia for AFRIMS Support Services. The purpose of this requirement is to provide procurement support for AFRIMS research projects involving surveillance for emerging infectious diseases and conduct of clinical trials within Cambodia. Pathogens that may be the subject of disease surveillance studies include respiratory viral pathogens, leptospirosis, bacterial pathogens, agents of parasitic disease including malaria, and other emerging infections. Products that may be evaluated in clinical trials include anti-malarial drugs and/or vaccines, anti-viral drugs, anti-microbial drugs, and other potential candidates with activity against infectious disease agents. In addition, the contractor must provide office space, utilities, as well as security per the regulations of the United States Embassy Security Office. This requirement will be posted under solicitation number W81XWH-18-Q-0135 This a full and open competitive solicitation under the North American Industry Classification Code of 541715 with a size standard of 1,000. USAMRAA intends to award a firm fixed price contract to include a one-year base period and 4 one-year options period. The closing date for receipt of proposals is 07 June 2018 at 10:00 a.m. Local Time, Frederick, MD. The solicitation will be posted on or about 07 May 2018 in the Federal Business Opportunities (FBO) website at www.fbo.gov. No solicitations will be accepted by hard copy. All offerors are responsible for checking for amendments to the solicitation from the Internet. It is the responsibility of the vendor to ensure that the RFP is received from the Internet accurately and in its entirety. To be eligible for an award or payment from any DOD activity, offerors must be registered with the System for Award Management and have completed the on-line representations and certifications located at www.sam.gov.
