- This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6 of the Federal Acquisition Requisitions (FAR) as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; quotations are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. Solicitation 12034318Q0150 is issued as a Request for Quotation (RFQ). The solicitation and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 2005-97. The clauses and provisions reference in this solicitation can be found in full text format at http://www.arnet.gov/far. This RFQ is set aside 100% for small business, the small business size standard is $7 million. The Northern Industry Classification Code (NAICS) is 444210, the Product Service Code (PSC) is 3750. This Quotation is requested to provide the following: 1 each Portable Chipper. The specifications are as follows: Trailer-style, hand-fed wood chipper, Drum or disc style chipper. Ability to chip 12" diameter material. Minimum 130 Horsepower-rated engine, gasoline or diesel power acceptable. Hydraulic-powered feed system, reversing automatic feed. Exhaust chute rotation minimum 345 degree, 360 preferred, with adjustable chip deflector. Hydraulic-powered feed-assist winch, minimum 2500lb. rating. 2 5/16" ball-style trailer coupler, pintle-style unacceptable. Load Range E tires on steel wheels, minimum 16" wheel diameter. Matching spare tire and wheel with carrier on chipper. Electric Trailer Braking. LED clearance/tail/brake lightning that meets DOT requirements. Breakaway system with battery and waterproof container provided. RV-style trailer wiring plug. Lockable fuel and hydraulic fluid tanks. Operators, and maintenance manual, in English, printed. The Chipper is to be delivered to the Bitterroot National Forest Fleet Shop 1801 North First Street Hamilton, MT 59840. Evaluation Procedures: RFQ that provides the best value to the Government, considering but not limited to such factors as price and Contractor experience. Product Literature is also require and will be part of the evaluation. Offerors are to include a completed copy of the provision 52.212-3, Offeror Representations and Certifications - Commercial Items and is to be included with the quote. FAR Clause 52.212-4, Contract Terms and Conditions -Commercial Items applies to this acquisition.
