- The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE), Northwestern Division, Portland District (CENWP) has been tasked to solicit a Service Contract USACE Field Office located in Cougar Dam, Blue River Oregon. Cougar Dam GDACS Fiber Optic Cable Install consists of the following: a) Remove abandoned Cable from 1000 feet of 3 inch conduit b) Install Two - 12 conductor #10 XHHW cables not to exceed 2000 feet c) Install One - 12 strand 50/125UM Multi-mode fiber optic cable not to exceed 2000 feet d) Install lockable junction Boxes e) Perform Continuity testing and redline update all drawings The purpose of the proposed action is to increase communications safety and security for the USACE Cougar Dam. Construction activities are anticipated to occur from approximately July 1, 2018 through August 15, 2018. Set Asides and Codes: This is a Total Small Business Set Aside. This effort is classified through the North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) under code 238210 -- Electrical Contractors and Other Wiring Installation Contractors ($15M). Proposal Period: The solicitation is scheduled for release on or about 08 May 2018. The tentative date for receipt of proposals is on or about 08 June 2018. A Site Visit is tentatively scheduled for June 12th at 1100 Hours PST on site at the Cougar Dam, Blue River Oregon, 97413 and is highly recomended because of the working conditions. Plans and Specifications: The solicitation will be posted on the Federal Business Opportunities website, https://www.fbo.gov/, once it is issued. Firms are requested to register electronically to receive a copy of the solicitation when it is issued. System for Award Management (SAM): Offerors must register in the SAM at https://www.sam.gov/portal/public/SAM/ prior to receiving an award. Point of Contact: The USACE-NWP Contracting Office will be the sole point of contact for this action. E-mail responses to the Primary Point of Contact, Mr. Derek Caputi at derek.caputi@usace.army.mil. Email is the preferred method for receiving responses to this pre-solicitation notice. THIS PRE-SOLICITATION NOTICE IS FOR THE PURPOSE OF INFORMING INDUSTRY THAT THIS SOLICITATION WILL BE POSTED ON FBO ON OR ABOUT 05 MAY 2017. THIS NOTICE IS NOT A REQUEST FOR PROPOSALS AND PROPOSALS RECEIVED AS A RESULT OF THIS PRE-SOLICITATION NOTICE WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED OR EVALUATED
