PRIMARY POINT OF CONTACT: Adedolapo Junaid Engineer adedolapo.a.junaid.civ@mail.mil SECONDARY POINT OF CONTACT: Bradley Holtzapple Competition Advocate/Small Business Programs bradley.holtzapple@dla.mil   DESCRIPTION: The Defense Logistics Agency-Aberdeen, on behalf of the Army Integrated Logistics Supply Center (ILSC), intends to acquire MX-101060A, MX-10160C, & MX-12389 to support the ANVIS systems. This is a Sources Sought/Request for Information for the potential requirement described below. Requirements Description: The image intensifier assembly is a critical component of the Aviator's Night Vision Imaging System (AVS-6). The AVS-6 is a helmet-mounted or hand-held binocular that provides the capability for pilots to fly in terrain flight modes at night. The system amplifies ambient light (moon, stars, skyglow, etc) so the viewed scene becomes clearly visible, enabling improved night vision. The Image Intensifier is the component responsible for amplifying ambient light. The Government does not possess the technical data package (TDP), detailed drawings and performance specifications for these items. This is not a developmental effort. Current designs have been approved by Product Manager - Soldier Manuever Sensors (PM-SMS). Alternate designs must be approved by PM-SMS. The following additional NAICS apply: 334290 The Government requires an estimated quantity of the following over 10 years: • 20,627 MX-10160A (NSN: 5855-01-423-1497), • 16,759 MX-10160C (NSN: 5855-01-503-4799), and • 2,060 MX-12389 (NSN: 5855-01-589-3816) Military night vision and image intesnifier tubes are considered defense unique technology due to the high quality and performance requirements and are covered by International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) and export control regulations. Requested Response Information: Sources that can manufacture and deliver the Image Intensifier assemblies are requested to submit information to show their capability to manufacture or supply the Image Intesifer assemblies. At a minimum, information submitted should include but is not limited to the following types of documentation: Questionnaire information on previous Government and commercial contracts, and data rights. In your response, please include your company name, CAGE code, and a technical point of contract with email address and telephone number. Notice, Response Due Date, and Points of Contact: This is NOT a Request for Quote or Proposal. The Government does not intend to award a contract on the basis of this SSA or reimburse any costs associated with the preparation of responses to this SSA. This Sources sought announcement (SSA) is for planning and market research purposes only, and shall not be construed as a commitment by the Government. The information gathered from this announcement will be used to determine if responsible sources exist, and to assist in determining if this effort can be competitive and/or set aside for Small Business. Furthermore, the Government will use the information, in part, to determine the best acquisition strategy for a potential procurement action and/or to assist in making acquisition strategy decisions in the future. Does your company maintain a Program and Assessment Tool to monitor and analyze the availability of components to allow clear and precise tracking of all obsolescence issues? If so, please elaborate on the Program and Assessment tool(s). 8. Describe your company's experience in identifying the alternatives for the unavailability of obsolete materials or components to mitigate obsolescence issues. 9. Discuss your company's capability in meeting US Government delivery requirements for this specific product. 10.
