- N0016718Q0033 RFQ is attached. This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items and is issued as a competitive procurement. Solicitation document is prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6 as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. The document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 2005-97. The Government intends to purchase on a firm fixed-price basis precision machining services of bronze canisters, i.e., plugs to include plug welding and finish machining. Work shall be performed off-site at the vendor's plant. The RFQ number is N0016718Q0033. The NAICS code is 332710, Machine Shops, and the business size standard is 500 employees. The proposed contract is 100% set aside for small business. Geographic area of competition is restricted to small businesses within 100 miles of zip code 20817 Bethesda, MD. Technical Drawings will be made available upon request from potential offeror(s). Solicitation closing date/time is firm, proposals received after the deadline will not be accepted. The award will be made on the basis of lowest evaluated of proposals meeting or exceeding the acceptability standards. This is a firm fixed-price procurement, therefore, the initial offer should represent the vendor's best quote in terms of price and technical acceptability. Interested parties must be registered in the System for Award Management (SAM) database prior to submission of an offer to be considered for award of any DoD contract. This can be accomplished electronically at http://www.sam.gov/vendor.cfm This announcement will close at 2:00 PM Eastern Standard time on Tuesday, 20 March 2018. Oral communications are not acceptable in response to this notice. All quotes shall include price(s), a point of contact, name and phone number and business size. Each response must clearly indicate the capability of the offeror to meet all specifications and requirements. Hand delivered and mailed quotes shall be sent to the following location: Naval Surface Warfare Center Carderock Attn: Patricia Perzella Bldg 42, Code 02 Contracts 9500 MacArthur Blvd W. Bethesda, MD 20817 Access to the NSWC Carderock is restricted. Quoters, couriers, and delivery services may encounter lengthy delays or denied access when attempting to enter. In all cases, quoters are responsible for the risks associated with the chosen delivery method either via email or regular mail and for ensuring the Government receives the complete quote prior to the due date.
