Description
This solicitation is for moving container blocks from growing areas (greenhouses and shelter houses) to the packing area, sorting, palletizing and cleaning (dipping) of the blocks, the extraction, grading and packing of seedlings into boxes, the extraction, grading and packing of native plant species into boxes the layout of benchtops in emptied greenhouse and shelter house areas, banding packed boxes with plastic banding to increase box holding strength prior to storage root pruning plugs prior to boxing for transplanting the next field season, removing multiple germinates from cells (sizes 91-160) to leave one live, healthy seedling (rogueing), removing multiple germinates from cells (size 240) to leave one live, healthy seedling (rogueing). removing weeds from container blocks removing weeds from WBP container trays, filling plastic trays with growing media in preparation for sowing seeds filling container styro-foam blocks with growing media in preparation for sowing seeds filling plastic pots with growing media for transplanting or sowing seeds transplant seedlings into larger containers to promote seedling growth. Consolidating supercell tubes of seedlings into full trays of live seedlings. Items 1.1-1.7 are typically performed November through January, however, there could be some late summer extraction/packing involved in this contract. Items 1.8-1.16 are typically performed January through October. Successful bidder will be notified of dates and amounts. Daily working time frames will be between the hours of 7:00 AM and 4:00 PM Monday through Friday or times mutually agreed upon between the government and contractor.
