- AVDL System The U.S. Department of Homeland Security (DHS), Customs and Border Protection (CBP), AIR AND MARINE OPERATIONS (AMO), is seeking information on an innovative spectrum efficient and certifiable upgrade for its existing end of life aircraft video downlink (AVDL) system and associated ground agent equipment and ground infrastructure. Air and Marine Operations (AMO) is a component of DHS/CBP. AMO is responsible to interdict, investigate, and operate utilizing a unique combination of authorities, capabilities, and expertise in the air and maritime environments to meet our mission. This request for information (RFI) is an informational exercise intended to seek out supply sources for a projected requirement to upgrade and replace legacy microwave video transmission equipment.
