Description
PROJECT LOCATION: U.S. Fish & Wildlife Service, Region 3, Crab Orchard National Wildlife Refuge, Williamson County, Marion, Illinois ESTIMATED MAGNITUDE: The magnitude of this requirement in terms of physical characteristics and estimated price range is between $5,000,000 and $10,000,000. SOCIOECONOMIC PROGRAMS: Potential Offerors are advised that this procurement is a Total Small Business Set-aside without further socio-economic set aside in accordance with FAR 19.203(c). Market research did not identify at least two (2) firms from any specific socio-economic category within the adjoining five-state area with experience constructing a LEED-certified building of similar complexity and magnitude. The Contracting Officer has therefore made the reasonable determination that the procurement shall be set aside for all small businesses within North American Industry Classification Code (NAICS) 236220, Commercial and Institutional Building Construction, with a size standard of $36.5 million. The Solicitation Package will be available via electronic commerce on fbo.gov and fedconnect.net on or about March 21, 2018 with Proposals due on or about April 23, 2018. The Solicitation Package will include, at a minimum, the following: Specifications, Drawings, and Prevailing Wage Determinations. Please ensure you have a complete downloaded Solicitation Package before submitting your Proposal. It is the Contractor's responsibility to ensure that they receive all appropriate solicitation documents to submit a competitive Proposal. PROJECT CONSISTS OF: The project consists of providing superintendence, labor, materials, equipment and installation for the following work: The construction of a one-story, approximate 10,625 square foot structure. The project includes site clearing and grading, site utilities, paving, and landscaping; The building consist of concrete foundations, rigid steel framing, concrete masonry and exterior stone, metal siding, metal roofing, metal and wood doors, storefront windows and doors, interior finishes, standard building specialties, mechanical, plumbing, fire protection (sprinklers and alarms), and electrical systems. SITE VISIT: Offerors are urged and expected to inspect the site where the work will be performed. Site visit details will be provided when the full solicitation package is available.
