- Description
- The Naval Air Systems Command (NAVAIR) intends to purchase Advanced Capabilities Mission Computers (ACMC v1) and (ACMC v2) for EA-18G retrofit. This procurement will be a fixed price sole sourced stand-alone contract for years FY19-FY21. This procurement includes the following: ~258 ACMCs for USN, USMC, NAVSUP, and FMS. This acquisition is being pursued on a sole source basis under the statutory authority of 10 USC 2304 (C) (1) as implemented by Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) 6.302-1, "Only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements." Boeing is the designer, developer, manufacturer, and integrator of the F/A-18 aircraft in its various configurations; and as such, is the only known firm with the knowledge, experience, and technical expertise required to accomplish this effort.
