Description
The USGS Woods Hole Coastal and Marine Science Center requires a minimum of two and a maximum of five high-pressure marine air compressors to run multiple airgun seismic sources during a 19-23 day scientific research cruise to be conducted in the mid-Atlantic region in August 2018. The USGS is requesting bids for two possible options (Option 1 and Option 2) that differ in the minimum required total Standard Cubic Feet per Minute (SCFM) capability of the compressors. Vendor may submit quotes for either or both options For Option 1, the Vendor will supply at least two diesel-powered compressors delivering a minimum total of 250 SCFM of air. For Option 2, the Vendor will supply at least two diesel-powered compressors delivering a minimum total of 500 SCFM of air. For either option, the vendor shall provide an experienced compressor technician for a minimum of two days of ship mobilization in Lewes, Delaware. The compressor technician may also be required to participate in the 19-to-23-day at-sea portion of this project and one day ship demobilization at the end of the project. The USGS may decide, and inform the vendor no later than 45 calendar days prior to the first day of mobilization, to use qualified USGS compressor technicians and not a vendor-provided compressor technician for the at-sea portion of the project. In this case, the USGS would send one USGS compressor technician to the vendor's facility at USGS expense to be trained on the leased compressor model. There are no option periods. Request for Quote (RFQ) 140G0118Q0144 will be issued on or about 3/09/2018 with written quotes due on or about 3/30/2018. Set-A Side: N/A.. The NAICS code is 333912.
