- Synopsis Heavy Equipment Rental IDIQ FA2823-18-R-4003 Eglin AFB, FL has a requirement for Heavy Equipment Rental services. The NAICS code for this requirement is 532412 with a size standard of $32,500,000.00. This requirement is being solicited for full and open competition. Any resulting contract shall be Firm-Fixed-Price and is anticipated to be an Indefinite Delivery Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) type contract. An award will be made based upon the Best Value to the Government in accordance with FAR 13.5- Simplified Acquisition Procedures for Certain Commercial Items. The basis for the best value to the Government will include price, and technical capabilities. The Government reserves the right to award a contract to other than the lowest proposed price. All responsible sources may submit an offer that shall be considered by the agency. This project includes but is not limited to the following: all material, equipment, labor, and personnel necessary to manage and accomplish all work in accordance with the Heavy Equipment Rental Services Statement of Work (SOW). The SOW will be provided with the solicitation at the time that it is posted to the Government Point of Entry. In general, the work includes routine and timely response to delivery orders for Heavy Equipment rentals and the maintenance thereof. The period of performance will be a five (5) year ordering period. The work is located at Eglin AFB, FL and Eglin's surrounding ranges. This is a paperless acquisition. Paper copies of the solicitation will not be issued. The Request for Proposal (RFP) will be available on the Federal Government Electronic Posting System www.fedbizopps.gov on or about 22 March, 2018. The ESTIMATED PROPOSAL DUE DATE is 12 April 2018. Prospective contractors must be registered in the System for Award Management (SAM) database prior to receipt of offer. If the Offeror does not become registered in the SAM database in the time prescribed by the Contracting Officer, the Contracting Officer will proceed to award to the next otherwise successful registered Offeror. Offerors may obtain information on registration and annual confirmation requirements via the SAM database accessed through https://www.acquisition.gov. It is recommended that prospective contractors register immediately in order to be eligible for award.
