- NOTICE OF INTENT TO SOLE SOURCE: The Cherry Point Satellite Contracting Office, Marine Corps Air Station (MCAS), Cherry Point, NC 28533 hereby gives notice of their intent to award a contract to Service Disabled Contracting Group, Inc., 400 N Center Dr Building 3, Ste 111, Norfolk,VA (Cage Code37ZZ1) on a sole source basis in accordance with the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Subpart 13.106-1(b)(i), only one source reasonably available and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. The Marine Corps Air Station Cherry Point, NC has an urgent requirement to establish a contract for pickup of fuel from Camp Lejeune, NC and transport to Cherry Point, NC. Market research has revealed this contractor is the only source capable of providing this service in the required time frame. Therefore, the government intends to procure this service on a sole source basis from Service Disabled Contracting Group, Inc. THIS NOTICE OF INTENT IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE QUOTES. However, all responsible sources may submit a capability statement, which, if received within one (1) calendar day after the date of the publication of this synopsis, will be considered. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. A determination by the Government not to compete this requirement based upon responses received as a result of this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
