Description
Notice of Intent to Sole Source General Electric Company Jacksonville, FL Notice of Intent to Sole Source: The Naval Supply (NAVSUP) Systems Command, Fleet Logistics Center Jacksonville (FLCJ), FL intends to issue a sole source award utilizing Simplified Acquisition Procedures to General Electric Company. General Electric Company is the only authorized, sole manufacturer who can provide the required OEM-certified maintenance providers attending to all the medical equipment, functionality and operability would be lost to the clinical end-users. Lapse in equipment maintenance coverage, caused by a long competitive procurement process, presents an unnecessary complication for patient-care providers. The government requires maintenance services on essential sterilizers, washers, ophthalmology equipment, optometry equipment, stress test systems, ventilators, laboratory equipment, tissue processing, and tissue embedding devices, Naval Hospital (NH) Jacksonville and its clinics. Without these service NH Jacksonville will potentially not be able to deliver the total scope of care required to meet mission requirements. The applicable North American Industrial Classification System Code (NAICS) code that this work falls under is 811219 Other Electronic and Precision Equipment Repair and Maintenance, with a size standard of $20.5 million dollars. This notice of intent is for information purposes only. All sources eligible to provide this requirement must respond in writing. Responses must be supported with clear and convincing evidence to clearly articulate the ability to provide this requirement as outlined above. A request for documentation will not be considered as an affirmative response. If no responses are received by Friday, March 9, 2018 at 12:00 PM EST to the effect that comparable items are available, and that it is more advantageous to the Government than obtaining this product through a sole-source contract, then a sole source acquisition award will be made. Response to this notice is to be sent to dedsy.lascano@navy.mil.
