- The U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) intends to award a fixed-price purchase order on a single source basis to Cadwalader, Wickersham & Taft LLP for enterprise online access to the legal treatise: Lofchie's Guide to Broker-Dealer Regulation. The publication provides explanations of the legislative history and policy considerations behind key acts, rules, no action letters, and releases that impact broker-dealer regulations. The contracting officer has determined that Cadwalader, Wickersham & Taft LLP is the only source that can reasonably meet the SEC's requirement in accordance with FAR Part 13.106-1(b) because this publication is under copyright and not available from any other sources. The period of performance for the purchase order is anticipated to be one (1) Base Period of 12-months and four (4) Option Periods of 12-months each, and the total value of the purchase order shall be below the Simplified Acquisition Threshold. The SEC intends to award a purchase order to the Cadwalader, Wickersham & Taft LLP on or about March 15, 2018. This notice is not a competitive request for proposals. A competitive solicitation will not be issued. However, the government will give consideration to interested parties that identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement or submit proposals by the response date of this notice.
